    Autonomous systems need to know where they are, and where they are going. GuideTech is developing Robust Optical Terrain Aiding (ROTA) which will provide accurate position and attitude even when GPS is denied. GuideTech SEEK-S3 fuses EO, IR and MMW data into an accurate understanding of the environment, enabling obstacle avoidance and prosecution of targets.

  • BRAIN

    All of the sensors needed to fly (RTK-GPS, IMUs, Mag, Baro), mesh radio to communicate with the ground and other BRAIN-enabled vehicles, 100 TOPS of AI/ML computing power for planning/computer-vision/signal-processing, FPGA for hard-realtime command & control, all packed into a tiny box. Pre-integrated with FLEX flight-software and simulation framework. This is how high-performance autonomy gets done quickly and on a budget.

Robust Optical Terrain Aiding

GuideTech is developing ROTA to leverage EO and IR sensors to track and geo-reference a vehicle’s motion through its environment and aide the inertial navigation system. It will enable accurate position and attitude aiding in GPS denied environments at low SWAP-C.

SEEK S3

Multi-Mode Sensing for UAS, Loitering Munitions & Missiles

The S3 is an affordable multi-mode sensor package that uses EO, IR and MMW data to enable day/night obstacle avoidance, target tracking and accurate fuzing. Used in both body-fixed and gimbaled configurations, it provides high quality data needed to execute many missions, at a cost that promote use in swarming, and loitering munition applications. Fully compatible with BRAIN XR2.

BRAIN X1: a sophisticated GNC avionics stack. The X1 is more than just a product—it's a versatile tool that empowers us to rapidly design, test, and deploy custom vehicles and integrated systems without breaking the bank.

A quick look under the hood shows a modern Zync SoC, tightly coupled GPS/INS, redundant GNC sensors, and FPGA for I/O flexibility and precision timing for hard real-time high performance.

BRAIN X1 comes pre-integrated with FLEX embedded software and harnesses GuideTech's comprehensive algorithm library, aligning with our mission to accelerate high-performance flight endeavors.

This high-performance compute & sensor package is pre-integrated with FLEX flight-software and simulation, enabling a new vehicle concepts to be proven out in simulation and quickly transitioned to real-world.

FLEX Embedded

Modular flight-software & firmware framework that simplifies development

The FLEX Embedded framework is a modular, hard real-time and extensible infrastructure that hosts our software components and interfaces with sensors & actuators. Its modular nature allows for re-use of proven algorithms and drivers while easily incorporating new algorithms/drivers for new vehicle or mission specific needs. Efficient publish-subscribe messaging between software components simplifies interfaces and promotes modularity. Firmware enables hard real-time determinism, high update rates and low jitter. FLEX Embedded eases the path to DO-178C and other stringent safety certifications.

FLEX Simulation

Rich Model Library, Easy to Configure, HWIL-Ready

The FLEX simulation framework includes a rich model library, which means most vehicles can be simulated by simply tailoring our existing models’ parameters. FLEX is used to model everything from multi-rotors and fixed-wing sUAS, to unmanned fighters, hypersonic vehicles and a wide variety of missiles and interceptors. FLEX Sim is based on FLEX Embedded and enables software-in-sim development from day 1 of a program. High-Fidelity GPS/INS, Flexible body effects, slosh, actuator, landing gear and other models enable accurate subsystem requirements to be derived from monte carlo analysis. FLEX is easy to extend: scaffolding code for models is autogenerated, so the developer can focus on the math model and not worry about signal routing, parameter routing, etc. FLEX executes extremely quickly, ensuring that large scale monte carlo analysis can be done regularly and efficiently.

Because FLEX includes the true flight software within the simulation, transition to hardware-in-the-loop is simplified. FLEX’s existing HWIL and CIL capabilities greatly simplify and expedite integration and test with BRAIN and other flight computers.

Guidance, Navigation & Control

Proven algorithms for precise control of unmanned systems.

GuideTech has developed a library of algorithms that enable precision GNC for a wide variety of vehicles. We have GNC algorithms for launch vehicles, missiles, re-entry vehicles, unmanned fighters, loitering munitions and small fixed-wing and rotary-wing UAS. Our target state estimators can derive accurate 3D target locations from noisy passive-only sensor data. Our Guidance library includes predictor/corrector reentry vehicle guidance, precision landing guidance, flexible UAS planning guidance, and missile terminal guidance laws. Our EIGEN autopilot enables high performance control of rotary wing, fixed wing and launch vehicles. GuideTech’s navigation library includes tightly-coupled GPS/INS filters and vision aided-nav.

REVEAL

Meaning From Data

REVEAL allows teams to track performance across a wide mission/scenario set and correlate performance changes with code changes. REVEAL provides both a high-level view of KPPs and enables the user to drill down into subsets of simulation results, with detailed time-history and 3D visualization. The insights provided by REVEAL give clear understanding of system performance and enable better design decisions.
